JAMESTOWN – Some of the best young singers and musicians the area has to offer will put their talent on display later this month in downtown Jamestown. On Saturday, May 19, Infinity Visual and Performing Arts will present its annual Spring Showcase, with events taking place at both the Infinity Center and across the street at the Reg Lenna Civic Center.

“Infinity's annual Spring Showcase is a celebration of kids and the arts,” explains Shane Hawkins, Infinity executive director. “The event helps to counter all the negative stories you might hear about kids and teens and their actions. There are so many children in our community that are doing excellent and creative things with their time and we want to celebrate that and give them the positive feedback that they deserve. This event helps to literally showcase all that they do and achieve.”

Starting at 5:30 p.m., there will be a student art show and open house at the Infinity Center at 115 East Third Street in Jamestown. The event will allow families and residents an opportunity to see some of the visual artwork students have been working on throughout the year. Visitors will also be invited to tour the facility and learn more about the program.
